Send a customer or installer an editable copy of your existing home model. Rooms, openings and objects go with the design. Device links, readings, credentials and controls stay with the original home.
FROM YOUR HOME
Send an invitation.
Open the home you want to share and choose Send a design copy. Enter the recipient's account email and review the invitation before sending it. This uses the home model you already made; you do not need to rebuild it as a new kind of model.
FOR THE RECIPIENT
Review and accept.
Sign in with the invited email and review the design-copy terms. Accepting creates a separate home that you own and can edit. If a one-home Customer account already has a home, the app asks for explicit consent before archiving that home and replacing it with the copy. An older invitation that offered access to the original home must be cancelled and sent again as a design copy.
PRIVACY BOUNDARY
Only the design and objects travel.
The copy includes the house layout, rooms, openings and model objects. It does not include device assignments, Home Assistant or AirGradient connections, tokens, live readings, history or control rights. The sender keeps their original home. The recipient can connect devices to their own copy through Add device.
Archiving an existing home is separate from deleting it. Its device links remain on that original home and do not appear in the new design copy.
